About Me

I will be riding the challenging 1891 Eagle HiWheel across the USA in 2012. On it in the summer '09,I HiWheeled across the western US to Salt Lake City to promote the nonprofit National Bicycle Greenway. Having lost the 2010 season because a car turned in front of me, destroying my bike, I am riding the Eagle in Ireland now where I am busy learning about the Greenway successes they are enjoying (my meeting with the Irish president/Taoiseach) here.

Jack Castor, former engineer, TransAmerica HiWheel legend, survivor of the internet famous Jack's Crash (below) , and present day collector of antique bicycles and bike memorabilia as well as vintage and racing automobiles TALKS about his collection, his coast to coast crossing and the spectacular bike accident he survived.

In addition, we visited and rode with Jack  during this visit to his home/museum! It toured his collection in Half Moon Bay, near the ocean where he lives. We also saw his friend, the famed, Eddie Andrieni, in fighter plane action.
